The first Michelin star for Etxeko Ibiza by Martín Berasategui recognizes the work of a group of young people who love gastronomy.

“Everything you have is for the customers, we are generous, we are travelers, we are conveyers of happiness.” With 12 Michelin stars under his belt, chef Martín Berasategui knows all too well what this journey through gastronomy means. His Etxeko Ibiza by Martín Berasategui restaurant, in the BLESS Hotel Ibiza restaurant, holds much of that journey thanks to the authentic flavors that bear his stamp. This is why it was awarded a Michelin star in 2023, in addition to the Sol Repsol Spanish culinary award that it won last year.

Etxeko Ibiza by Martín Berasategui is headed up by chef Paco Budía, who is from Cordoba in southern Spain and started his career as a stager at Berasategui’s Barcelona restaurant Lasarte at the age of 19. He was chosen by Berasategui to lead this project. The menu combines Cantabrian and Mediterranean produce so that the customer can experience the flavors of the island, without losing the essence of the Basque chef’s cooking.
