We have recently experienced one of the most relevant openings in the intense gastronomic life of Ibiza and it is already one of the must-visit places this season. Cap Negret on the west coast of the island where the sun, the sea and the rocks meet, we find Madunia. An invitation to celebrate life not only through its dishes, but also its design. The commitment here is to fresh raw materials from the land and sea, sourced from local producers, and cooked mainly on a Josper grill to enhance their flavors and maintain their properties. Chef Ivan Arauz Beusink – who cut his teeth at several Michelin-starred restaurants in Amsterdam – designs the menus by adapting to what nature offers each season, hence the name Madunia which translates as “Mother Earth”.
The adaptation to nature is also evident in the decor, which has been integrated into the environment and inspired by organic shapes and colors. Environmentally friendly materials have been used throughout. Thanks to all of the above, “Madunia is much more than a restaurant, it is a celebration of flavors, cultures and moments shared around a table,” as its founder explain.
