As rumours circulate in Ibiza of new clubs opening around the island and work finally begins on resurrecting Privilege, another season begins in the undisputed party capital of the world.
Five Holdings, the new owners of Pacha have been very busy already this year filling the 2024 disco diary with some fantastic and carefully selected artists who align with the Pacha ethos perfectly. The biggest news at cherry towers is the revamp of Flower Power which is moving to Saturdays with resident DJ Bora Uzer and guests including Fat Tony, Grace Jones, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, DJ Harvey, Solardo and Boy George. Moving into Mondays comes a Pacha Presents showcase serving up megastars such as Purple Disco Machine, Diplo and Tyga. “The aim is for our customers to feel ‘blessed’ after the experience they have had at Pacha,” says new owner Kabir Mulchandani.
Hï Ibiza welcome Tulum’s Zamna Festival for two dates this summer (June 20/Sept 12), promising some mystic jungle magic. Eric Prydz will unveil his new show CELL, created exclusively for the Hï Ibiza Theatre at his weekly residency whilst Fisher will be on a four-week paternity leave from his Wednesday residency in June to welcome his new baby into the world. Patrick Topping will take the reins in the Theatre with his Trick label showcase – this is in addition to his Monday night club residency. Also watch out for Paco Osuna’s full club takeovers in September!

Over at Hï Ibiza’s sister club, Ushuaïa, the biggest news is Defected’s move from Eden to Tuesdays with a COLOSSAL line up including Groove Armada, Gorgon City, Disclosure, Kerri Chandler and MK. More major news is the new Sunday residency from Swedish House Mafia after their one-off shows last year. Little sister beach club and restaurant Playa Soleil ramp up year two with a couple of wonderful signings in the shape of Lee Burridge’s cool-as-fuck All Day I Dream party – he’ll be taking over Mondays for some serious underground vibes. Also joining the fun at this historic setting will be Argentinian producer Kintar and his Summerians party on Saturdays; expect a night of unique, authentic, ethnic sounds from many different cultures.
And, finally, from Bossa, check out the old Sankeys/Octan venue, now called Acyca and offering “a tasteful mix of international guests and residencies from the cutting edge.” If you like low-ceilinged intimate vibes, where you are up close and personal with the DJs, this is your ticket.
Over on the posh side of town, Chinois continues to distinguish itself as one of the most prominent venues on the island with another packed weekly selection. Highlights for many will be the new monthly residencies for Honey Dijon (Cozy), Kerri Chandler (Kaoz Theory) and Luciano (Cadenza) later in the summer. HUGE.

Up in the Sant Josep hills, Cova Santa braces itself for another fabulous summer – we love the look of newbie Cosmic Pineapple who will be taking over fortnightly Thursdays from June 20 with Kim Booth’s out of this world audio exploration starring the likes of Carl Craig, Josh Wink and Nightmares on Wax. Also check out Gozo on June 22 then monthly Saturdays – a party promising of underground electronic music and ‘hedonistic barbecue’. July 3rd looks amazing also when SG Lewis brings us Forever Days.

Across the valley at Amnesia, Claptone is “thrilled to return to the venue” where he “started The Masquerade in Ibiza.” Check out his new Tuesday residency with major guests such as Eats Everything, Jungle and Roger Sanchez, plus HE:SHE:THEY taking over the main room. Fridays see a mixture of regular parties – watch out for Horizon presenting NEO from June 7, with Mathame headlining. Amnesia are also over the moon to have Ibiza exclusives on Charlotte de Witte, Nina Kraviz and Richie Hawtin.
All roads will be leading to Mondays at DC10 again this summer as Circo Loco produce a GIANT line up to celebrate their 25th Anniversary. Expect the unexpected… as you say goodbye to your marbles.

Perhaps the most astonishing club news of 2024 comes in the shape of Space Ibiza taking up a summer residency at Eden on Fridays. It certainly raised a few eyebrows, but nobody can doubt their line ups – they’re huge. Also at Eden, look out for their new urban event PEACHES! On Saturdays, artists such as Russ Millions, Tion Wayne & Stefflon Don will be headlining.
Also on the Eden tip – they are now the new owners of the Pachacha nightclub in Formentera which opened last year – and then promptly closed. We expect exciting parties over the summer at this beautiful venue.
Ibiza Rocks return with a full party agenda featuring Radio One Dance X taking over Fridays in June and July with banging line ups. NEXT GEN take over Wednesdays with some fresh new talent whilst Soundcloud move onto Sundays with Cassö, Daire and Multunes.
Pikes is also firing on all cylinders again this summer as Andy Manumission takes over Mondays with a selection of major names – check out the curtain across the DJ booth if you dare get your phone out and the free bar if you hear Club Tropicana being played. Sarah Story and David Morales host their own monthly Wednesday session whilst there’s a very cool-looking Back2Back2Back party on July 18, starring Cassius b2b Etienne de Crecy b2b DJ Falcon. The third venue under Andy McKay management is of course 528 which returns with BBC Radio One Dance Live on August 2.
And watch out for more massive parties at the old Zoo venue over the summer months.
