Palladium Hotel Group has a huge commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). For this Ibiza-born company, social responsibility and sustainable tourism is paramount. For this reason, Palladium Cares – the brand for the development of its CSR actions – is structured around three pillars: Our People, Our Community and Our Planet, with a special emphasis on the social aspect both inside and outside the company.
As Jesús Sobrino, CEO of Palladium Hotel Group, explains, “the S for social carries great weight within our CSR, which encompasses our genuine interest in local communities and our teams, with whom we seek to have a real and positive impact”. As part of the Palladium Cares campaigns, the company has carried out the 4 Causes to Take Action project in Europe, which has been developed in 4 phases throughout the year, focusing on 4 specific causes: childhood, inequality, the planet and care for the elderly.
Social integration and community support
In Ibiza, Palladium Cares has established partnerships with 14 local organizations to support those at risk of social exclusion as well as those with disabilities. Thanks to these alliances, more than 360 people have benefited from a range of activities, with the participation of more than 200 volunteers from the nine hotels that the group manages on the island.
Among the collaborating organizations are the Integra Foundation, Cáritas, Ibiza IN and Un Mar de Posibilidades. What’s more, the hotels operated by the company in Ibiza have opened their doors to NGOs that work with people with disabilities so that they can enjoy leisure activities within their facilities.
Education and professional training
To combat inequality, Palladium Cares has implemented vocational training programs that have helped 40 people acquire the necessary skills to access the labor market. As well as providing practical skills, these initiatives promote the inclusion of vulnerable groups in the labor market.
Support for children and the elderly
Palladium’s commitment also stretches to caring for the very young and the elderly. They have organized inclusive leisure activities, such as boat trips and adapted sports, as well as events aimed at providing company and joy to the elderly. These activities include magic shows, music shows, arts and crafts and beach walks, offering moments of happiness and recognition for our seniors.
