Es Pujols

Isn’t it incredible to see the same fisherman’s huts in the foreground of this classic es Pujols seafront photograph? Today this famous Formentera beach looks modern as tourists amble along talking on their mobile phones – but there is no mistaking the legendary Hotel Rocabella on the horizon, a landmark still going strong today…

Dalt Vila

One of the most remarkable images that NATIV has ever published. Taken over 50 years ago, a happy cow munches on the grass with the formidable Dalt Vila rising behind her. Today that peaceful meadow is a bustling space in the center of the city, always animated by the bustle of traffic and people coming and going.

Santa Eulària

It’s 1912 and weary town folk are trying to grab some shade under the trees, their clothes displaying fashion from another century. Look now at the main road passing through Santa Eulària; it’s a million miles away from the simple life the island once enjoyed, with a jeep replacing the dusty horse and cart.
