There is no denying that we are in the middle of a sex and intimacy recession, with statistics revealing that young people are having less sex than ever before. And yet, at the same time, public life is more hyper-sexualised than ever, and we continue to be simultaneously oversexed in fantasy while undersexed in reality. “It’s very hard to find safe spaces to explore intimacy, let alone sexuality,” admits Kama Founder Chloe Macintosh from her San Mateu home in Ibiza. “It is something that is close to my heart, to facilitate spaces where we can experience more freedom of expression and express our sexual nature. My observation has been that, even in Ibiza, one of the most open places I know, I was getting the same feedback – that it’s hard for women to feel free to express themselves sexually.”
Kama’s content is built in collaboration with some of the world’s most respected academics and practitioners across neuroscience, psychology and somatic therapy. Together they bring us daily tips and practises to improve our sex lives whilst educating at the same time.
“Our body is the most advanced technology that we will ever interact with and yet we know so little about it. So often we leave it to others to make decisions about our health and sexual wellbeing which ultimately leaves us unfulfilled”, says Chloe.
“The majority of people still have an uncomfortable relationship with sex and their bodies – I want to rectify this by showing them what to do with their body, how to connect, remove tension and ultimately, receive and give pleasure”.
Kama has undoubtedly caught everyone’s attention. Here in Ibiza, Chloe is also running her Embodied Love intimacy retreats (@embodied.love) for couples or singles while, regarding Kama, the public’s reaction has been overwhelming. “Only yesterday I was stopped in the parking lot by a lady who told me our perfect blowjob course had changed everything for her.
