1. The Standard

It was only a matter of time before The Standard hotel group found its way to Ibiza – and how! Once a cinema, this stunning hotel on Vara de Rey was conceived by acclaimed Spanish creator Lázaro Rosa-Violán with interiors by Oskar Kohnen. It features 53 rooms and suites, street-level restaurant Jara, plus a rooftop bar with a 15-metre swimming pool and panoramic views.

2. Chi Kee Wun

This brand-new Chinese fusion dining experience is set in a secret oriental garden in San Antonio. As the town continues its rise in the gastro stakes, the latest venture from the company behind Wi-Ki-Woo, Bam-Bu-Ku and O Beach Ibiza is a perfect place for pre-club nourishment or simply a special night out. NATIV is loving the dim sum selection and fabulous cocktail list.

3. Parra & Romero

This important Ibiza and Madrid art gallery celebrates its 10th anniversary on the island with the opening of a new space in Santa Gertrudis. Open year round, Parra & Romero will exhibit some of the finest international modern art – recent artists have included Claudio Parmiggiani, Frederic Anderson and Luis Camnitzer. Watch out for a documentary on the history of the gallery coming soon.

4. Club Chinois

Introducing Ibiza’s newest nightspot, an exclusive club on the former HEART site that takes you back to a world of Asian luxury: Club Chinois. To the days of 1930 Shanghai and dancing, red lipstick, glamour and the etiquette of yesteryear. Opening in June, the sumptuous space will feature Asian cabaret, velvet, sequins, dimmed lighting, cocktails and immersive experiences. Rumours are flying that some major DJs are securing weekly residencies. ¡Donde la noche cobra vida!

5. Salvatge

The Barcelona bar and restaurant gets a brand new sister on Formentera. Salvatge specializes in natural wines from around the world alongside fresh healthy food. It’s always good to see new openings on the island and if the staff here are as friendly as their colleagues are over on the mainland, this place is sure to be one of the hits of the summer.

6. Dos Ibiza

A great new addition to Vara de Rey’s bustling shopping experience with items for both men and women. We love the Komono shades, but this season it’s all about getting NA-KD – “fashion fit for the future to wear now and love longer”. Dos Ibiza it’s all about beautiful laid-back looks inspired by the raw side of Ibiza.
